Janet Foster is a member of the Board of the NJ Historic Trust. She will speak about how the Trust, a state-wide dedicated capital fund for historic resources, is working not only to preserve historic buildings but in some cases to make them more resilient to climate-change driven challenges to them.
Specifically, we will learn more about the New Jersey Historic Trust and their grant programs including the: The Preserve New Jersey Historic Preservation Fund, The Cultural Trust Capital Preservation Grant Program, the Discover New Jersey History License Plate Fund, the Revolving Loan Fund and Emergency Grant and Loan Fund.
Janet will illustrate using success stories and explore new choices in preservation – like moving a building – that would have been unthinkable by preservationists a generation ago.
